1. About
	Have you ever been walking in town and saw an advert for an event/show/expo/concert that you would have liked to attend, but which finished yesterday? Have you ever been in another town or city and wanted to know what was happening in terms of entertainment? This website was born out of these frustrations and we hope that it will make your life easier and more important that you will never again miss that concert, expo, musical or show you wanted to see! This is your one stop resource for everything that is happening in town today. Event organizers, promoters, advertisers: Please note that this website is not intended as a replacement for your own website. It's intention is to act as another gateway to your website if you have one.

2. Quick Start
	This is your one stop resource for everything that is happening in town today. If you want to know what is happening in your town or any other town or city today or over a period of time, it is as easy as 123. Just fill in the search criteria (country,town,date) on the home page and press the search button. You will be presented with everything that is happening in the specified town/city for the specified date(s). If you are an event organizer, promoter or advertiser you may submit public events to this site for free. To submit events you need to register as a user. Registration is free and only takes 1 minute of your time. After a successful registration you should immediately receive an email containing your login information (login and password). Use the login information (login and password) to login before you submit events. After you successfully logged on , you may submit events by clicking on the [submit events] menu option and completing the form.

3. Registering
	To register you need to go to the registration page. On the registration page you need to complete all the mandatory fields and then click the submit button. If you correctly completed all the information a new page will display informing you about the successful registration. A short email will be send to the specified email address containing your login information. Although the email is normally sent immediately, it might happen that it takes a bit longer. If you did not receive your login information within 24 hours, please email us at users@giggel.info specifying, "register" in the subject line. You MUST have a valid email address in order to register.

4. I forgot my password
	Go to the login page and enter your login id. Click the forgot password checkbox. Press the submit button! Your password will be sent to your email address. Remember that your password is case sensitive.

5. Submitting new events
	You need to be a registered user in order to submit events. If you are not a registered user you may register for free. See Registering on this page for more information. It is important to note that fields marked with a red asterix at the end are mandatory fields. You will not be able to submit an event without entering valid data into these fields. You may add as many 'localization records' as needed for each event you enter. Just click on the [Add] button to add a record. A 'localization' record is a record containing information regarding the event location (country , area , city), the event date and times, the venue, the cost, the location(s) where tickets may be bought and contact detail information. Your event information may be the same for different cities and dates and these 'localization' records make it easy for you to enter event information without having to re-enter all your event information everytime. A search will initially only produce the event date(s), event time(s), event short description and the event website if there is one. It is therefore important to make sure that the short description should contain a clear and concise description of the event. Please note that this website is NOT intended for the promotion of private events. ONLY public events will be accepted.

6. Searching
	You need to specify at least the following information in order to produce a valid search: The country. The city or town in the specified country. The date. Optionally you may also specify the following fields to reduce the search results: The area, state or province in the country. The event category. The event time. You may search for more than one date by specifying a value from 1 to 7 in the days select field. Example: To search for everything happening in Cape Town, South Africa for the week 1 January 2006 to 8 January 2006 do the following: Specify South Africa as your country , Cape Town as your city, 1 January 2006 as the date to use and specify 7 for the "and the following _ days" field. Setting a value in the time field will retrieve all events with a starting time equal or greater to the time specified. The default value of 00:00 will retrieve all events for the specified date(s).

	A search will produce results containing the following information: event date(s) -> the date or dates on which the event takes place. event time(s) -> the time or times at which the event takes place. short description -> a very short and concise description of the event. event website -> the marketer, promoter or organizer's website (if available) more information link -> this link will open a new window where more information regarding the current highlighted event may be viewed.

	Who should use this site ? Anybody that wants to know what is happening in town today, tonight or over a period of time. Whether you are going away for a weekend , a few days , a long holiday or just staying at home , this website will tell you what is happening in your home or destination town during your stay. Who should submit events to this site? Anybody that organizes public events. Whether you are the promoter, advertiser, marketer, organizer or private individual. Please note that this website is NOT intended for the promotion of private events. ONLY public events will be accepted. If you know anybody that organizes or advertises events - please tell them about this website.
